How to Know Jesus

1. Would you like a relationship with God?

You can, by believing in Jesus Christ and asking Him into your heart. The Bible teaches we have all sinned separating us from a holy God. By dying on a cross Jesus paid the penalty for our sins so we could be forgiven and have a relationship with Him. Accepting Jesus as the Lord of your life involves:

1. Believing Jesus is the Son of God who died for you and rose from the grave
2. Confessing your sin and asking Jesus to forgive you
3. Being willing to turn from sinful lifestyles
4. Choosing to live your life for Jesus

God’s Word says:
“For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him shall not perish, but have eternal life.” - John 3:16
“For the wages of sin is death, but the free gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.” - Romans 6:23

2. Begin your relationship with God

If you would like to begin a relationship with Jesus sincerely pray:
"Dear Jesus, I believe that You are the Son of God, I believe that You died for my sins and rose on the third day. Please forgive me of my sins and help me to turn from my sinful life to follow You as a disciple. Jesus come into my heart and fill me with the power of the Holy Spirit. - In Jesus’ name, Amen.”

3. Your next steps

If this prayer reflects your heart’s desire you have just been forgiven of your sins and will spend eternity in heaven! Here are a few steps to help you grow in your new relationship with Christ.

1. Read the Bible everyday to know Jesus better beginning with the Gospel of John.
2. Talk to God regularly through prayer sharing your joys, anxieties, and requests.
3. Become involved with a Christ-centered church for worship, fellowship, and service.
